The Christ Hospital Health Network has been recognized with the Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades for the ninth consecutive year. This award acknowledges hospitals that provide high-quality care and ensure a positive healthcare experience for patients. The Christ Hospital Health Network is the only system in Cincinnati to receive this accolade and one of 14 in Ohio. Nationally, 377 hospitals from 44 states received this recognition, representing the top 15% of hospitals for patient experience.
Healthgrades evaluated data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, focusing on ten key patient experience measures. Hospitals awarded this honor demonstrated a strong commitment to prioritizing person-centered care.
Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, expressed pride in receiving the award: “We are honored to once again be named as one of the best hospitals in the country for overall patient experience by Healthgrades,” she said. “Our team members do everything it takes to provide both world-class care and experiences for every patient.”
Healthgrades identified three critical areas that predict a patient's likelihood to recommend a hospital: doctor communication, nurse communication, and clear communication about care upon discharge. Debra Gradick, MD FACEP, senior physician consultant at Healthgrades, emphasized the importance of these factors: “Hospital quality, including patient experience, should always be considered when choosing where to receive care.”
The Christ Hospital Health Network includes an acute care hospital in Mt. Auburn, a remote location in Liberty Township, eight ambulatory outpatient centers, and numerous medical offices throughout the region. With over 1,300 physicians and more than 7,200 team members, its mission is to improve community health by providing exceptional outcomes affordably.
