Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard partnered with The Christ Hospital Health Network to prepare Thanksgiving meals for families in need. The meals were assembled on November 24 at Findlay Kitchen and distributed later that evening at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati's Clem & Ann Buenger Club in Newport, Kentucky.
Hubbard commented on the initiative, stating, "I’m excited to spend time with the kids and give back to the families in our community during this special time of year. The Boys & Girls Club is a vital part of our community and I’m grateful for the opportunity to partner with Christ Hospital to make a positive impact together."
Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, also spoke about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to be partnering once again with Sam Hubbard and his foundation to make Thanksgiving memorable for hundreds of families in the region,” she said. “His passion and charitable work inspires our team ever year to give back to the community we work, live and play in for those in need during the holiday season.”
The Christ Hospital Health Network operates an acute care hospital in Mt. Auburn, a remote hospital location in Liberty Township, five outpatient centers, and numerous medical offices across the region. It employs over 1,300 physicians and 7,200 staff members. In 2025, U.S. News & World Report ranked it as the top hospital in Cincinnati, while Newsweek included it among its World’s Best Hospitals.
The Sam Hubbard Foundation was established in 2020 with a focus on increasing access to food, education, and healthy living opportunities throughout Cincinnati. Since its founding, it has raised more than $750,000 and supported initiatives such as launching 13 Hubbard’s Cupboards and providing over 300,000 meals for hunger relief efforts.
