CINCINNATI – Dr. Shree Lata Radhakrishnan, a board-certified cardiologist, has joined The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular team. She will provide women's heart care at the new Mason and Ft. Wright offices in Kentucky.

"There are important sex differences in heart disease, that is why we have built the Women’s Heart Center and are excited to have a cardiologist that is passionate about caring for our female patients. Dr. Radhakrishnan will bring her expertise to one of the fastest growing women’s heart centers in the country."
Dr. Radhakrishnan's interest in preventative cardiology was inspired by her family's struggles with heart disease. "I am excited to be joining the team of physicians, nurses and staff of The Christ Hospital Women’s Heart Center," she stated. "We are here to listen to our patients and fight heart disease together with a focus on both treatment of existing conditions and on preventative care. I strongly believe in the importance of open communication and a patient’s ability to make informed and shared decisions about their care."
Her educational background includes a Medical Degree from Vinayaka Missions Medical College at Pondicherry University in India and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Northwestern University. Her medical training includes an internship at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, a residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis where she served as Chief Resident, followed by roles as an internal medicine hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston and part-time instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. She completed her fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Louisiana State University, receiving the Raja Dhurandhar Cardiovascular Disease Outstanding Fellow award.
Dr. Radhakrishnan is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is affiliated with both the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.
