The Christ Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute in Cincinnati has received four 3-star ratings from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for excellence in cardiac surgery. The highest possible rating was awarded in Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Aortic Valve Replacement combined with Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, and overall combined cardiac surgery. This places the hospital among the top 10% of heart programs in the United States and Canada.
The Christ Hospital had previously received 3-star ratings in Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, and overall combined cardiac surgery earlier in 2025. The additional rating as of September 2025 recognizes outstanding achievement in surgeries involving both aortic valve replacement and coronary artery bypass grafting.

The hospital is recognized as the highest-volume heart surgery center in Greater Cincinnati. Its mission is to provide advanced cardiac care locally so that patients do not need to travel elsewhere for treatment.
