Sam Hubbard visits patients at The Christ Hospital

Victor DiPilla Interim President, The Christ Hospital Physicians | The Christ Hospital Health Network

Pro football player Sam Hubbard, a Cincinnati native, visited patients at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn on Tuesday afternoon. During his visit, Hubbard met with patients in various departments including inpatient rehab, the birthing center, orthopedics, and the heart center. He also interacted with team members of The Christ Hospital Health Network.

This visit is part of an ongoing partnership between Hubbard and The Sam Hubbard Foundation that started in 2023. Notably, Hubbard was born at the Mt. Auburn Birthing Center himself. Since the inception of this partnership, initiatives have included distributing Thanksgiving meals to families across the Tri-State area and donating cereal, snacks, and water for students at William H. Taft Elementary School to take home over winter break. Additionally, they created "The Cincinnati Kid, Too" onesies for babies born at two birthing centers.

The Christ Hospital Health Network comprises an acute care hospital located in Mt. Auburn and a remote hospital location in Liberty Township. It also includes five ambulatory outpatient centers and numerous medical offices throughout the region. With more than 1,300 physicians and over 6,500 team members, their mission is to improve community health by providing exceptional outcomes affordably.

The network has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the top hospital in the Cincinnati Region and was named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list in 2024 as well as one of America’s Top 50 Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery by Healthgrades.
