Fort Wright residents will notice a significant police presence on Amsterdam Road, particularly at its intersections with Morris and Redwood. This increased patrol is in response to a "rising number of traffic violations routinely occurring in this area," according to a press release dated January 22.

The press release states, "Unfortunately, we continue to receive legitimate complaints from residents across the City about dangerous driving behavior, including speeding and ignoring stop signs." The last time Fort Wright announced an increase in traffic enforcement was in February 2024.
