Heart patients at The Christ Hospital Health Network participated in a unique event on March 14, 2025. The "Mini Heart Mini" Walk was organized by the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit (CVSU) staff and took place at the hospital. This event was held ahead of Cincinnati's Heart Mini Marathon scheduled for Sunday.
The walk allowed heart patients and their caregivers to celebrate their recovery from heart disease and stroke. Participants had the choice to walk either half the floor, simulating a half marathon, or the entire floor, representing a full marathon. Assistance was provided by team members during the walk.
The initiative emphasized the significance of exercise for heart health. A variety of running medals and snacks were available to participants, adding an element of celebration to their achievements.
The Christ Hospital Health Network comprises an acute care hospital in Mt. Auburn, a location in Liberty Township, eight outpatient centers, and numerous medical offices across the region.
