The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati has achieved recognition as a top teaching hospital, as named by Fortune and Premier, Inc. The healthcare system was ranked 15th among nearly 2,600 hospitals assessed in the study. It is the only institution from Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to make the list. The evaluation for the award utilized public Medicare data and included measures such as inpatient mortality, length of stay, operating profit margin, and healthcare-associated infections. This marks the ninth consecutive year that The Christ Hospital Health Network has been included in the prestigious list.

"Being named a top teaching hospital in the United States is a testament to the unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care, groundbreaking research and the cultivation of future healthcare leaders,” commented Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. She credited the honor to the "dedicated team of physicians, clinicians and support team members" who set high standards for care while also shaping future healthcare providers.

The study highlighted the potential impact of nationwide emulation of The Christ Hospital Health Network's standards. Findings suggest that over 331,000 lives could be saved, more than 600,000 patients might avoid complications, and hospital costs could be reduced by over $15 billion if all hospitals performed at this level.
