The Northern Kentucky Education Council hosted its annual Excellence in Education celebration on April 22. Several members of the Kenton County School District were recognized for their contributions.
Among the awardees were Amber Smith from Caywood Elementary and Sherri Cornett from Turkey Foot Middle School, who both won Golden Apple Awards. Amy Marsh of Simon Kenton High School received the Extraordinary Service Award. Sebastian Villanueva from Dixie Heights High School was honored with the Against All Odds Award.
Scholarships were awarded to Hannah Kirk from Simon Kenton, as well as Adrianna Albarran and Maria Rodriguez Limonteco from Dixie Heights and Ignite/Dixie Heights, respectively, who received St. Elizabeth Scholarships.
Recognition was given to all the winners for their achievements.
