The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati has been awarded an "A" Hospital Safety Grade by The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade Report for Spring 2025. This accolade reflects the hospital's success in managing patient safety by reducing errors, accidents, injuries, and infections. In Ohio, only 28 hospitals have achieved this distinction.

Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, stated, "Leapfrog’s 'A' rating remains the gold standard for patients and their families looking for the highest safety measures in the healthcare industry. We are honored by this distinction and remain committed to not only maintaining these high standards but continuously raising the bar for what safe, effective and compassionate healthcare should look like. Our team members remain committed to doing everything it takes for the safety of all of our patients."

The Hospital Safety Score is a key measure for evaluating healthcare facilities, devised by The Leapfrog Group with guidance from leading patient safety experts to inform patients seeking care options. Leah Biner, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, commented, "All hospitals should be proud to earn an 'A,' but they should not rest on that laurel. Sustaining an A over multiple years reflects a deep-rooted commitment to patient safety."

The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit organization founded in 2000, aims to promote patient safety through various initiatives, including the Hospital Safety Grade. This program is unique in its sole focus on preventable medical mistakes, infections, and injuries and is presented as peer-reviewed, transparent, and publicly accessible. Ratings are updated biannually.

The Christ Hospital Health Network operates an acute care hospital in Mt. Auburn and other facilities, including a remote hospital in Liberty Township and numerous outpatient centers and offices across the region.
