The Kenton County School District (KCSD) has announced the students selected for three prestigious educational programs: the Governor's Scholars Program, the Governor's School for the Arts, and the Governor's School for Entrepreneurs. Each of these programs emphasizes academic excellence and personal development.
Students from various KCSD schools have been recognized. For Dixie Heights, the Governor's Scholars Program has identified Harper Allen, Elijah Givens, Katherine McMillan, and several others, with Grace Barnett, Max Rubemeyer, and Addison Wolff as alternates. Scott has representatives such as Alexis Collins and Ari Edmonds, with several alternates. Simon Kenton's selections include Aubree Abbott, Brett Bockmon, and additional scholars, with a few alternates as well.
In the Governor's School for the Arts, students from Dixie Heights such as Brooklyn Baker and Grace Barnett were highlighted. Scott included Kiersten Bennett for vocals and Regan Board for visual art. Simon Kenton had participants like Marlee Collins and alternates, including Aubree Abbott.
For the Governor's School for Entrepreneurs, nominees include Sami Hassani from Dixie Heights and Bridget Campbell from Simon Kenton, with Gabby Powell and Manae Hathaway as alternates.
