Known for his work in clinical research, Dr. Kereiakes has led FDA approval trials for over 20 drugs and medical devices and performed more than 30,000 catheterization procedures.
"It's a tremendous honor to be given the Helping Hearts Lifetime Service Award this year," stated Dr. Kereiakes. "SCAI is one of the most renowned cardiovascular organizations in the country. To be recognized by my peers and cardiologists who have worked their entire lives to create better outcomes for heart patients means the world to me."
Dr. Henry was awarded the F. Mason Sones, Jr., MD, FSCAI Distinguished Service Award, named after one of SCAI's founders. This award honors Fellows who have significantly enhanced SCAI’s stature or made notable contributions to the field. Dr. Henry was recognized for his pioneering work in interventional cardiology and acute myocardial infarction treatment.
"This award from the SCAI is a humbling experience and one I am truly grateful for," said Dr. Henry. "As a former president of the organization, I know just how hard my fellow peers work to create a better and brighter future for cardiovascular patients."
The Christ Hospital Health Network extended congratulations to both doctors on their achievements.
