Several locations in Kenton County will serve as cooling centers for residents. These centers will open from Monday, June 23, to Friday, June 27. The Emergency Shelter of NKY will be an exception, opening on Sunday, June 22.
The Emergency Shelter of NKY at 436 W 13th St, Covington, KY will operate from Sunday, June 22 to Thursday, June 27 from 9 am to 5 pm. Residents are advised to call ahead for availability at 859-291-4555.
Other cooling centers include:
- City of Covington at 20 West Pike Street: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
- Kenton County Administration Building at 1840 Simon Kenton Way: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Kenton County Courthouse at 5272 Madison Pike in Independence: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Fort Wright City Building at 409 Kyles: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Piner Fiskburg Fire District at 1851 Bracht-Piner Rd, Morning View: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Kenton County Detention Center (Visitor Lobby) at 3000 Decker Crane Ln, Covington: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Crescent Springs City Building at 739 Buttermilk Pike: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Fort Mitchell City Building at 2355 Dixie Hwy: Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
These facilities are available for residents seeking relief during the period specified.
