School-aged children may qualify for the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (SEBT) program, which aims to provide nutritious meals during the summer break.
Eligibility for automatic approval includes students aged 6 to 17 as of August 1, 2024, who have received benefits such as SNAP, KTAP, or Kinship Care for at least one month since July 1, 2024. These students will receive SEBT issuance without needing to apply.
Students not meeting these criteria should apply online for SEBT benefits. Applications can be submitted through self-service options at https://KYSEBT.ky.gov/ or via https://kynect.ky.gov/benefits/.
The program is designed to ensure access to nutritious meals during summer months. For more information or questions, visit https://www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs/dfs/pages/sebt.aspx.
