Two orthopedic surgeons are joining The Christ Hospital Health Network this month. Matthew Mangini, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, started on September 1, while Eric Jiang, MD, a hand surgeon, will begin seeing patients on September 15.
Dr. Mangini holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and biology from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium and pursued a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Mangini also served as a Major in the United States Army, performing emergency procedures for battlefield injuries.
"I am incredibly excited to join The Christ Hospital Health Network continuing its legacy of excellence in orthopedic care," said Dr. Mangini. “I look forward to being part of a team approach to patient care. I believe in shared decision making with patients, while at the same time, understanding their health goals.”
Dr. Jiang received his Bachelor of Science in molecular genetics and medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Health in Detroit and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.
“When caring for patients, I work to personalize care for every individual and I see that happening at The Christ Hospital Health Network,” said Dr. Jiang. “I am extremely thrilled to be joining the award-winning orthopedic team at the Joint & Spine Center. The talented providers continue to do everything it takes to provide exceptional outcomes to all of our patients.”
Brian Colley, Executive Director of the Musculoskeletal Service Line at The Christ Hospital Health Network, commented on the new additions: “We continue to expand the number of providers to address a number of orthopedic conditions and procedures,” he said. “With the addition of Dr. Mangini & Dr. Jiang, Greater Cincinnati can know that we are continuing to bring in the best medical talent in the country which benefits the health of our community.”
The Joint & Spine Center provides comprehensive care using non-surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s needs and offers advanced techniques for various orthopedic conditions.
