Fort Wright collects donations for flood-affected areas in North Carolina

The City of Fort Wright is organizing a collection of non-perishable and personal hygiene items to support communities in North Carolina affected by recent floods. Fire Chief Schewe will join a team delivering these donations directly to a key distribution area in North Carolina. He is scheduled to leave on Friday, October 11, with the Fire Department accepting contributions until the end of business on October 10.

"The devastation in so many communities from Hurricane Helene is significant," noted city officials. They expressed pride in the community's response, stating, "The City of Fort Wright is so proud of our community, elected officials, and staff who make efforts like this possible."

Officials have specified that clothing or toy donations are not accepted for this shipment.
