CINCINNATI – The Christ Hospital Health Network and The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Hamilton County Educational Service Center, are hosting an event called Healthcare in a Day. The purpose of the event is to introduce high school students to various career possibilities in the healthcare field. It will be held in the auditorium of The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn on Friday, April 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Professionals from The Christ Hospital will discuss their career paths and education, covering a wide range of healthcare roles such as nursing, sonography, and medical assisting. The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences will also present educational programs available on the hospital campus.
Leaders from the hospital and the college, including Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, and Dr. Amy Wutke, President of The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, will welcome participants. They will provide insights into the healthcare industry before attendees begin their exploration of the field.
Students from 15 area high schools will participate in the event. Schools include Loveland High School, Mercy McAuley High School, Clermont Northeastern High School, Grant Career Center, Finneytown High School, New Richmond High School, Kings High School, Middletown High School, New Richmond High School, Laurel Oaks, Scarlet Oaks, Batavia High School, Butler Tech Ross High School, Deer Park High School, and Ross High School.
