For the eleventh year in a row, The Christ Hospital has been recognized as the top hospital in the Cincinnati region by U.S. News & World Report and tied for third place statewide in Ohio. This announcement was part of U.S. News’ 2025 Best Hospitals rankings, which evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions. Only about 13% of these hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation.

Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, commented on the recognition: “We are proud and honored to be named as the best hospital system in Greater Cincinnati for the eleventh year in a row and to be ranked third in the entire state of Ohio by U.S. News & World Report. For more than a decade, our talented physicians, clinicians, team members and volunteers continue to make our network the destination for healthcare in the region. The reputation of the care our patients receive continues to expand outside of the region. We remain dedicated to improving the health of our community by continuing to provide exceptional outcomes and the finest experiences all at an affordable cost so that everyone in this region can have access to exceptional healthcare.”

The Christ Hospital Health Network received high performance ratings for orthopedics and geriatric care among adult specialties. It was also rated highly for several procedures and conditions such as heart bypass surgery, hip replacement, colon cancer surgery, diabetes care, stroke treatment, lung cancer surgery, kidney failure management, prostate cancer surgery, pacemaker implantation, pneumonia treatment and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), among others.

U.S. News used data from over 800 million patient care records to analyze each hospital’s performance based on risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and nursing care levels when determining its annual rankings.

Ben Harder, Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News & World Report stated: “For more than three decades, U.S. News has been an invaluable guide for patients. With a ‘Best Hospital’ recognition, Americans, in consultation with their medical providers, can confidently choose a regional hospital known for providing superior care for their specific illness or condition.”

The Christ Hospital Health Network operates an acute care hospital located in Mt. Auburn as well as a remote location in Liberty Township. It also includes eight outpatient centers along with dozens of medical offices throughout Greater Cincinnati. The network employs more than 1,300 physicians and over 7,200 staff members.

The hospital was also listed among Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list for 2025.
